Faith in God Heals Many Ills
Matthew 9:18-26 NRSV
Jesus turned, and seeing her he said, “Take heart, daughter; your faith has made you well.” Matthew 9:22
Our needs are never a distraction for Jesus even as Jesus works his way to others in their time of crisis. Jesus can handle the weight of it all.
*World Refugee Day – Pray for those who carry stigmas for being labeled “refugees” (in need of shelter and safety).

Join the Lord’s Harvest Today
Matthew 9:35-10:1 NRSV
Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore ask the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into this harvest.” Matthew 9:37-38
There is no need for envy over another’s ministry if we remember that there is more than enough work to do.
*Juneteenth (in parts of the USA)—Even as we remember the emancipation of enslaved people in the USA, pray for those trapped in human trafficking and other oppressive situations.

Jesus Restores Speech to Mute Man
Matthew 9:32-34 NRSV
But the Pharisees said, “By the ruler of the demons he casts out the demons.” Matthew 9:34
We miss opportunities to celebrate victory in the lives of others when we fail to remember that God doesn’t need our approval for their release.

Jesus Opens Eyes of Blind Man
Matthew 9:27-31 NRSV
Then he touched their eyes and said, “According to your faith let it be done to you.” Matthew 9:29
The act of prayer is essential; but, we also need faith to believe in that for which we have prayed.

Woman Testifies to Jesus’ Healing Touch
Luke 8:42b-48 NRSV
When the woman saw that she could not remain hidden, she came trembling; and falling down before him, she declared in the presence of all the people why she had touched him, and how she had been immediately healed. Luke 8:47
Those who have experienced miracles should find it impossible to hide that for which we cannot take credit.
