Abram Believes God

(God) brought him outside and said, “Look toward heaven and count the stars, if you are able to count them.” And he believed the Lord; and the Lord reckoned it to him as righteousness (Genesis 15:5-6)
When God gives you a glimpse of the future, believe God’s promises to you are unbreakable.
Wednesday, October 17
Gentiles Share in Abraham’s Promise
Galatians 3:6-9, 13-14 NRSV
And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, declared the gospel beforehand to Abraham, saying, “All the Gentiles shall be blessed in you.”. (Galatians 3:8)
We never know how God will use us to bring about a blessing. Pay attention to God’s nudges.
Tuesday, October 16
Hagar Births Abraham’s Son, Ishmael

And the angel of the Lord said to her, “Now you have conceived and shall bear a son; you shall call him Ishmael, for the Lord has given heed to your affliction. (Genesis 16:11)
From conception to birth to the future, God has a plan for us. Have you discerned God’s plan for you?

God Honors Covenants with Abraham

He is the Lord our God… He is mindful of his covenant forever, of the word that He commanded, for a thousand generations. (Psalm 105:7-8)
No matter what uncertainties one may face, God’s word and covenant are strong and everlasting.
