Oppressing the poor in order to enrich oneself, and giving to the rich, will lead only to loss. (Proverbs 22:16)
Now is the opportune time to extend a helping hand to one in need. Can you make that your personal goal?

Enjoy the treasures which God has given you on earth, mindful that your greatest treasure has been prepared for you in heaven.

Treat Your Parents Justly
Matthew 15:1-9 NRSV
For God said, ‘Honor your father and your mother,’ and, ‘Whoever speaks evil of father or mother must surely die.’ (Matthew 15:4)
Since we did not have an opportunity to choose our parents, pray and ask God to mend any broken relationships and heal any hurts.
On this day when the Connectional Church commemorates the Emanuel Martyrs and Survivors, pray for the survivors, the families, church family, and loved ones and commit to fight against racial hatred and violence.
On this Father’s Day, pray for fathers and those who serve as fathers.
Pray for traveling mercies for all those traveling to the 28th Connectional Christian Education and Youth Congress; June 27-30, 2018; Atlanta, GA.

Call No One Profane or Unclean

(A)nd he said to them, “You yourselves know that it is unlawful for a Jew to associate with or to visit a Gentile; but God has shown me that I should not call anyone profane or unclean. (Acts 10:28)
An “us/them” mentality can block community and hinder the fulfillment of call.
