Sunday, April 21 RESURRECTION SUNDAY
“Meet Me in Galilee!”
Matthew 28:1-15 NRSV
Then Jesus said to them, “Do not be afraid; go and tell my brothers to go to Galilee; there they will see me.” (Matthew 28:10)
Does fear ever prevent you from going and sharing the news of the Resurrection? There may be some who would see the Resurrected Christ if you were to go and tell.
Saturday, April 20 HOLY SATURDAY
Reigning Triumphant with Christ
Revelation 20:1-6 NRSV
Blessed and holy are those who share in the first resurrection. Over these the second death has no power, but they will be priests of God and of Christ, and they will reign with him a thousand years. (Revelation 20:6)
What a glorious time it will be when we live with Christ forever and ever!
Friday, April 19 GOOD FRIDAY
Mary Meets Jesus Outside the Tomb
John 20:11-18 NRSV
“They have taken away my Lord, and I do not know where they have laid him.” When she had said this, she turned around and saw Jesus standing there, but she did not know that it was Jesus. (John 20:13b-14)
Sometimes the end of one experience can give birth to a new experience, which transforms us physically and spiritually.
Thursday, April 18 MAUNDY THURSDAY
Guards Secure the Tomb
Matthew 27:62-66 NRSV
Therefore command the tomb to be made secure until the third day; otherwise his disciples may go and steal him away, and tell the people, ‘He has been raised from the dead,’ and the last deception would be worse than the first. (Matthew 27:64)
No matter how we plan and do things in our way, God will rewrite the script and fulfill His plan.
Wednesday, April 17
Matthew 27:32-44 NRSV
And when they had crucified him, they divided his clothes among themselves by casting lots. (Matthew 27:35)
Jesus died so that we will live eternally. Thank you, Jesus!
