God Commissions Elijah for New Work
1 Kings 19:9b-15
Then the Lord said to him, “Go return on your way to the wilderness of Damascus; when you arrive, you shall anoint Hazael as king over Aram.” 1 Kings 19:15 NRSV
God anointed Elijah to raise up help for the work he became weary in doing.
