God’s Name Is Great among Nations
Malachi 1:11-14 NRSV
“What weariness this is,” you say, and you sniff at me, says the Lord of host. You bring what has been taken by violence or is lame or sick, and this you bring as your offering! Shall I accept that from your hand? says the Lord. (Malachi 1:13)
“God looks at the heart” is what our ancestors would say when speaking of intent. When you give back unto the Lord, it’s the heart of the act and not the value that God measures.
