Joseph Obediently Honors Mary’s Role
Matthew 1:18-25 NRSV
When Joseph awoke from sleep, he did as the angel of the Lord commanded him; he took her as his wife, but had no marital relations with her until she had borne a son…(Matthew 1:24-25)
Joseph’s actions were his way of saying to God the same as Mary’s reply and praise, “Here am I, your servant; let it be with me according to your word, God.” Let this be our prayer today in word and action.
