Nehemiah Sent to Rebuild Jerusalem
Nehemiah 2:1-10
I said to the king, “May the king live forever! Why should my face not be sad, when the city, the place of my ancestors’ graves, lies waste, and its gates have been destroyed by fire?” Nehemiah 2:3 NRSV
What Nehemiah willed to do was from his heart. God blessed the venture because Nehemiah was not seeking his own glory.
