O God, Blot Out My Transgressions
Psalm 51:1-9
Have mercy on me, O God; according to your steadfast love; according to your abundant mercy blot out my transgressions. Psalm 51:1 NRSV
The petition for forgiveness is personal. It is personal because the love of God sometimes must reach us in the darkest places to bring us back to light.
