The Law Is Read at Booths Festival
In keeping with our 2019-2020 Connectional Theme, “Economic Justice” we will focus on specific prayer and action points on the topic of Fair Wages in the months of January – February 2020.
Pray that when wages are being mediated, those in influential positions will introduce policies which include workers at all levels on companies’ organizational charts.
Deuteronomy 31:9-13 NRSV
When all Israel comes to appear before the Lord your God at the place that he will choose, you shall read this law before all Israel in their hearing. (Deuteronomy 31:11)
The law reminded Israel of its covenant with God. As we begin this new year, be reminded of relationships—with family, loved ones, and neighbors—with the church—most importantly, with God. Remember! Reflect! Recommit!
