Amos 5:1-3, 16-17 NRSV
For thus says the Lord God: The city that marched out a thousand shall have a hundred left, and that which marched out a hundred shall have ten left. (Amos 5:3)
Even as nations struggle and compete to maintain power, we can depend on God to deliver us in times of trouble.
