Preparing to Dedicate the Temple
1 Kings 8:1-13 NRSV
King Solomon and all the congregation of Israel, who had assembled before him, were with him before the ark, sacrificing so many sheep and oxen that they could not be counted or numbered. (1 Kings 8:5)
Awesome things can happen when all in the community of faith come before God and make their sincere sacrifices to God—lives can be changed, institutions can be built, and the world can be turned upside down!
