Brothers Sent to Egypt to Buy Grain
Genesis 42:1-5 NRSV
I have heard,“ he said, “that there is grain in Egypt; go down and buy grain for us there, that we may live and not die.” Genesis 42:2
Although they presumed to have gotten rid of Joseph, the words of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. ring true, even for Joseph’s brothers. We are “caught in an inescapable network of mutuality, tied in a single garment of destiny. Whatever affects one directly, affects all indirectly.”
