David’s Prayer of Praise and Thanksgiving
1 Chronicles 17:16-27 NRSV
Therefore may it please you to bless the house of your servant, that it may continue forever before you. For you, O Lord, have blessed and are blessed forever.” (1 Chronicles 17:27)
In this Christmas season, as we celebrate God dwelling among us and within us, we can shout the words of David, “For you, O Lord, have blessed and are blessed forever.”
