Elijah Sent to King Ahab
1 Kings 18:1-4
After many days the word of the Lord came to Elijah, in the third year of the drought saying, “Go, present yourself to Ahab; I will send rain on the earth.” 1 Kings 18:1 NRSV
Elijah was called to speak truth to power. The message to Ahab would not be a popular one; but, it was grounded in righteous truth.
