Hannah Is Childless and Suffering
1 Samuel 1:1-8 NRSV
So it went on year by year; as often as she went up to the house of the Lord, she used to provoke her. Therefore Hannah wept and would not eat. (1 Samuel 1:7)
Answers to prayer can sometimes be long in coming, disheartening, and fuel for others’ taunting.
Your action: Beware of any tendencies to ridicule or gloat in another’s adversity.
