Jerusalem Defeated and Zedekiah Exiled
2 Kings 24:20b-25:7 NRSV
And in the ninth year of his reign, in the tenth month, on the tenth day of the month, King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon came with all his army against Jerusalem, and laid siege to it; they built siegeworks against it all around. (2 Kings 25:1)
Our ability to be alert to God’s warning will save the lives of others also. Guard against pride. According to Proverbs 16:18, “pride goes before destruction”.
