Jesus Driven out of Nazareth

Luke 4:23-30 NRSV

When they heard this, all in the synagogue were filled with rage. They got up, drove him out of town, and led him to the brow of the hill on which their town was built, so that they might hurl him off the cliff. (Luke 4:28-29)

Jesus occasionally concluded a parable by saying, “Let those with ears listen”. Perhaps the religious authorities could not focus on what had been said because their toes had been stepped on.
