Justice for Aliens, Orphans, and Widows
Deuteronomy 24:17-22 NRSV
Remember that you were a slave in Egypt and the LORD your God redeemed you from there; therefore I command you to do this. (Deuteronomy 24:18)
Prayer: God, we ask that you bless those detained at border crossings and who may be fleeing violence. Protect those seeking refuge from life’s storms. Help us to remember that we were once aliens in a strange land. AMEN.
