Midwives Frustrate Pharaoh’s Decree
Exodus 1:15-22 NRSV
But the midwives feared God; they did not do as the king of Egypt commanded them, but they let the boys live. (Exodus 1:17)
Be grateful for those whose fear of God outweighs their desire for the approval of human authorities.
