Spices Prepared to Anoint Jesus’ Body
Mark 16:1-8 NRSV
When the sabbath was over, Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James, and Salome bought spices, so that they might anoint him. (Mark 16:1)
Even in their disappointment, the women showed up to fulfill their commitment to Christ; and, their faithfulness was rewarded.
