The Lord Will Build David’s House
2 Samuel 7:11b-17 NRSV
I will give you rest from all your enemies. Moreover the Lord declares to you that the Lord will make you a house. (2 Samuel 7:11b)
As we prepare to celebrate God’s promise to the House of David and to the world, let us pause for a moment, even in the midst of stress, pain, and busyness, and rest in the hope of that promise.
