Wednesday, April 22 – EARTH DAY
On this 50th anniversary of the commemoration of Earth Day, the theme is Climate Change. “Climate change represents the biggest challenge to the future of humanity and the life-support systems that make our world habitable.”
Pray that we will improve our stewardship of God’s creation by changing poor environmental
habits, and advocating for the preservation of Earth.
Pray today for universal awareness of government policies and human practices which
contribute to the deterioration of our planet.
The Year of Jubilee Established
Leviticus 25:8-17 NRSV
And you shall hallow the fiftieth year and you shall proclaim liberty throughout the land to all its inhabitants. It shall be a jubilee for you: you shall return, every one of you, to your property and every one of you to your family. (Leviticus 25:10)
Prayer: God, help me to recognize the disadvantages of excessive debt, that I might lead others into abundant living.
